Texas Nurses Association District 5 (TNA5) is a regional chapter of a state-wide membership-based association of registered nurses (TNA).
Founded in 1907, TNA is the oldest professional nursing association in Texas. Our members represent all segments of nursing practice, from bedside to administration, consulting to advanced practice, and education to legislation. They're from all practice settings: hospital, home and community health, public health, higher education, long-term care, school health, and policy. And all practice areas.
 The District holds meetings throughout the year (on the 3rd Tuesday of most months from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.) offering continuing education and professional networking.
National Nurses' Week is celebrated by TNA5 with a Gala where each year's "Fabulous 5 Nurses" are honored. Fab 5 nominations for 2012 are now being accepted!!
To further professional development and support area nurses, TNA5 Scholarships are available for District residents seeking undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees. Scholarship Applications are now being accepted!

Between January 1 and March 31, 2012 during the annual Member-Get-A-Member campaign, TNA members are going to invite RN colleagues, friends and associates to join them in Texas Nurses Association membership.
