Texas Nurses Association District 5 (TNA5) is a regional chapter of a state-wide membership-based association of registered nurses (TNA).
Founded in 1907, TNA is the oldest professional nursing association in Texas. Our members represent all segments of nursing practice, from bedside to administration, consulting to advanced practice, and education to legislation. They're from all practice settings: hospital, home and community health, public health, higher education, long-term care, school health, and policy. And all practice areas.
National Nurses' Week was celebrated by TNA5 last year with a Gala where the 2015 "Fabulous 5 Nurses" were honored. Applications for the 2016 Fabulous 5 Nurses are now being accepted! Please download the nomination form and submit by March 31, 2016.
This year's winners will be announced at the Gala on May 7th, 2016. Hope to see you there!
Every year at the Gala we have a silent auction to raise scholarship funds. We hope to make this year the best fund raiser to date! If you can help by contacting a potential sponsor, contributing silent auction items or sponsoring a scholarship, please email the President.
To further professional development and support area nurses, TNA5 Scholarships Applications are available now for District residents seeking undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees. This year's scholarship winners will announced at the Gala on May 7th, 2016. Annual scholarship applications are due by March 31, 2016.
Join us and become a part of this vibrant organization today! TNA District 5 will be accepting nominations for Board and Committee positions for the upcoming 2016-2018 term. Click here to nominate yourself or someone who you think would make a great Board or Committee member!
