Founded in 1907, TNA is the oldest professional nursing association in Texas. Our members represent all segments of nursing practice, from bedside to administration, consulting to advanced practice, and education to legislation. They're from all practice settings: hospital, home and community health, public health, higher education, long-term care, school health, and policy. And all practice areas.
The District holds meetings throughout the year (on the 3rd Tuesday of most months from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.) offering continuing education and professional networking.
Every year at the Gala we have a silent auction to raise scholarship funds. Last year was the best fund raiser to date! We hope to do even better this year. If you can help by contacting a potential sponsor, contributing silent auction items or sponsoring a scholarship, please contact the President at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To further professional development and support area nurses, TNA5 Scholarships are available for District residents seeking undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees. This year's scholarship winners will be announced at the Gala on May 9th, 2015. Scholarship applications for 2016 will be available in February 2016.
Join us and become a part of this vibrant organization today! TNA District 5 is accepting nominations for Board and Committee positions for the upcoming term. If you or someone you know would like to serve, please fill out and submit a nomination form.
