Kimberly A. Lewis, PhD(c), MSN, RN

Clinical Research Scientist RN – Ascension Seton

Jonas Nurse Leaders Scholar

As part of the Nursing Practice Department at Ascension Seton, Kimberly supports nursing research projects across a broad spectrum of settings, specialties, and topics. She began her nursing career as a pediatric critical care nurse at Dell Children’s Medical Center, and has worked in clinical research, academic research, and biological research. She is currently completing her PhD in Nursing Science at the University of Texas at Austin, studying the relationships between nutrition and disease. She received her master’s degree in Child Health Nursing with a focus on Nursing Education from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to becoming a nurse, Ms. Lewis received a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science & Medical Nutrition Therapy from the University of Texas at Austin, completing internships in both pediatric oncology & palliative care and the anti-inflammatory effects of diet on tumor growth in pancreatic and breast cancers.
